Derek releases The Equinox in Morrisburg on March 27th at the St. Lawrence Acoustic Stage
Please join us on March 27th at 7:00pm for a very special "unplugged" performance of my latest CD, The Equinox, as it is released in Morrisburg, Ontario, at the St. Lawrence Acoustic Stage. My band mates from Hardcore Troubadour (Scott, Dan, and Mario) will be joining me on stage for this unique CD release performance. Also, joining us on violin for the first time will be our very special guest, Conor Veinotte (Scott's son!). 50% of all CD sales will be donated in support of The Stephen Lewis Foundation.We have the great honour of sharing the stage with two incredible artists, Stephanie Coleman as well as Melanie and General Electryk.

Derek joins Dave Byron on April 10th at The Bronson Centre for a benefit concert in support of The Empathy House
Please join us, along with Dave Byron, on April 10th at 7:30pm at The Bronson Centre for a very special benefit concert in support of The Empathy House. My band mates from Hardcore Troubadour (Scott, Dan, and Mario) will be joining me on stage for this unique CD release performance. We plan to "rock it up real good" as we pull out our electric guitars and perform songs from my new CD, The Equinox, as well as some other surprises.We have the great honour of sharing the stage with Dave Byron. We would like to sincerely thank Dave and his band for inviting us to participate in this amazing event. In addition to what is collected through ticket/door sales, we will also be donating 50% of all CD sales in support of The Empathy House.

Equinox Launch - May 14th, 2009
Invitation to the CD release of The Equinox, by Derek Jones
You are cordially invited to the release of the new CD from Derek Jones entitled The Equinox. To celebrate this exciting accomplishment, Derek will be performing all of his material from The Equinox live in concert on Thursday, May 14th, at Grace O'Malley's East. This special performance will be held in support of the Ottawa Food Bank/La Moisson Outaouais and the work of the Stephen Lewis Foundation. Everyone is welcome so please feel free to invite your friends and family (including kids until 10:00 p.m.)!

The Equinox Launch
May 1st, 2009 - Inspired by his baby girl, Delphine (and his new baby arriving in June 2009!), motivated by his concerns for world issues, and led by a deep and powerful urge to "rock", Derek is excited to announce the completion his 3rd solo project, The Equinox, following up on the success of Awakening (2004). Scheduled for release in May 2009, The Equinox is a 12-song original album that blends sensitive guitar and artistic vocals to create a unique mix of pop/rock, folk and adult contemporary sounds.
